Mr. Completely's October 2016 e-Postal Results
Pattie Ann's Final Mr. Completely e-Postal Target
The scores are in for October and we have them tabulated. If you have targets that you have not sent, get them in and we will add them to the table. This was a fairly tough target for pistol. Pattie, of course would not score at all shooting offhand, so she uses a rest from her shooting bench. When we told her we were going behind the barn to shoot the Postal she said, "Well, bring my gun!"

Susan was disappointed to shoot a 4 with her 22/45 Lite, but I told her that was a good score, and it is. Those nuts are small for shooting offhand. She has a new GP 100 revolver and she shot a score of 3 with the iron sights on that gun, and she is not accustomed to iron sights. I shot one of the 10/22's from the bench with a hasty sling. I hurried on the first shot and did not check my NPOA. I blew that shot, and checked NPOA for the rest and made every one. I do not understand why so many people change the barrel out on 10/22's, they all seem to shoot well for me.
This year has shown a serious drop in participation with Mr. Completely's e-Postal match. Merle, Billll, Susan, her Mother, and I have been the only regulars, so the October target is the final one. I have enjoyed running this contest for Mr. C, but I think we would be beating a dead horse if we go on. Many Thanks to all who have entered over the years, and to the bloggers who have helped host this monthly contest. Extra-Special Thanks to Mike Gallion, aka Mr. Completely for allowing me to take over his contest when he was ready for a break. Susan and I, and the other blog hosts have had a great time organizing and thinking up targets for all of you.

We're A Bit Nutty About The E-Postal Contest
Every October we spend a few pleasant afternoons picking up chestnuts under the trees we planted in 1976. They make great snacks raw or roasted, and they make the best dressing you will ever taste. Test your aim with ten shots on the nuts. You can score on each nut only one time. Shoot at 25 to 35 feet with handguns, or whatever distance is available where you shoot. Rifles should shoot at 25 yards. We will accept entries at truebluetravelinman (at) gmail (dot) com until midnight, Halloween.
Shoot whatever you have, and include information on your firearm so we can sort them out into classes. Red dot sights will be classed as iron sights since there is no magnification. Use the name you wish to have posted in the scores on this blog and on True Blue Sam. Ten shots are all you need on each target, just to keep it affordable for shooting several guns on your outing. Shoot any postion you want, but the gun should be supported by your hands, unless you need mechanical support for physical disabilities. CLICK HERE, or on the picture for the link to the target pdf.

October e-Postal Scores!
We had a total of fifteen targets submitted this month, and Bill's Bullseye Sights made a big showing. David shot with the ghost ring for the first time and we are amazed at how well it works. He managed to connect the eyes on two ghosts. There was plenty of good shooting by other entrants. Merle managed to touch both a bat and a ghost with one shot from his Browning Hi Power, boosting his score on that target to 100 points. Bill managed to connect the eyes on one of his ghosts, getting a nice score with the aid of his ghost ring sight.
Mother Pattie-Ann shot for the first time since August, and she was thrilled.

October e-Postal: Boo! Boo! Boom!
Susan put together a Halloween-themed target again this year, and it's a good one! Shoot at 25 feet with pistols, 25 yards with rifles, any position as long as both hands are on your gun. CLICK HERE to download the pdf file.
Ten shots per target, multiple hits on any figure are OK. Add the pertinent info at the bottom of the target, scan or photograph your targets and e-mail them to TrueBlueTravelinman (at) gmail (dot) com. We will sort your targets out into classes by caliber and sights. Non-magnified red dots will be classed with iron sights. You have the rest of October, and maybe the first part of November; we will see how it goes.
Five points per hit on ghosts, ten points for bats, twenty points for an eye, fifty points for connecting the eyes.
